Just paid for a license of VBPortal (http://www.vbportal.com) and I hope to get it downloaded and uploaded to the test site soon. After looking at a lot of different portal/CMS/CMPS software, I decided on VBPortal because it's one of the very few that integrates with the forums. I've also looked at Mambo (arguably the most popular standalone freeware CMS), Xoops, etc and while they may be more powerful, they don't have the tight forum integration, something that will be necessary for user commenting on articles/reviews. I'll see what all can be accomplished with VBPortal and then decide to either go with it (the license wasn't very expensive) or Mambo. Just a heads up.
